National Work Zone Awareness Week
April 28, 2021

April 26th – 30th is National Work Zone Awareness Week.  The purpose of work zone awareness week is to help bring awareness and education to the hazards encountered at roadside construction sites.

National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) takes place across the United States and partners with state departments of transportation (DOT), national road safety organizations, government agencies, private companies and individuals.

This week will kick off with Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-by Incidents.  Struck by accidents are the leading cause of death among construction workers. Since 1992, these accidents are the leading cause of non-fatal injuries in the construction industry.
