Giving back to the community isn’t simply something we do – it is part of who we are. Since our inception in 1939, providing employees a great place to work and stewarding our community have been two of our core values. We support a wide variety of nonprofit, civic and trade associations through our leadership, time, in-kind services and financial support. This is carried out by the company and our individual employees. It takes a number of small, proactive decisions to make an impact in the community – following are a few statistics on what we do.
Flood and Peterson is an outstanding community partner that gives back to the community in many significant ways. When we had to evacuate our building during the September 2013 Flood, they opened their Fort Collins offices to us enabling us to provide information and referral services throughout the County in response to the devastating floods. They volunteer their time and energy throughout the community and are generous in their financial support of United Way and other nonprofits in our community. I am proud to be a partner and a friend of Flood and Peterson.
Flood and Peterson is great partner for the CU Denver Business School, our students, and the Risk Management Program. Each year their executives spend time mentoring students, speaking in classes, and providing opportunities for students to gain exposure to careers in the financial services and insurance industry. We are glad to have them as an industry partner and scholarship supporter.
Our organization, the American Cancer Society, depends on the generosity and partnership of leading businesses in our community. Our mission is to find a cure for cancer for all of us and Flood and Peterson is one of those business partnerships. As a corporation, they are a continuing sponsor for Relay For Life and their employees form teams, walk the track and spend the night to show their passion for our cause. At our Cattle Barons Ball gala, Flood and Peterson is a table sponsor, underwriter for event and their executives have served in major committee positions. A twenty-year partnership!
Flood and Peterson is a pillar in our community and receiving support from them is more than just an investment in our youth, but also a stellar example to other local businesses about philanthropy and giving back. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County serves over 3,000 youth each year in our 3 Clubs located in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Wellington. With generous partners like Flood & Peterson, we are able to provide these youth a safe, nurturing environment where they can achieve Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles; learning and growing into being productive citizens in our community.
